Director General BPS 20 Job, Strategic Management and Leadership: – Create and carry out plans to further the goals and mission of the Institute.

  • Manage all programmatic and operational aspects, making sure they are in line with the objectives of the Institute.

  • Policy Development and Advocacy: Work with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders to influence and develop successful child protection policies. Promote child protection policy and legal reform at local, national, and international levels. Stay abreast of international developments and best practices on child safety and integrate them into the Institute’s planning and work.
  • Program Development and Delivery: Manage the planning, implementation, and evaluation of services and initiatives aligned to the needs of at-risk children.
    Ensure each program is research-based, considers cultural differences, and appropriately meets the needs of the children it serves.
    Track program outcomes and impact to ensure continuing development and adaptability to changing needs.
  • Financial Management and Resource Mobilization: Develop and execute plans for raising funds from various sources, such as government grants, private donations, and foreign aid.
    Oversee the institution’s financial management and ensure resources are used efficiently, openly, and responsibly.
    Prepare and monitor annual budgets and financial reports and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
  • Building and maintaining good working relationships with key stakeholders such as government agencies, international organizations, donors, and local leaders is key for stakeholder engagement and partnerships.
    Representing the institute in public meetings, conferences, and media appearances to promote its goals and initiatives.- Lowering the general age by 5 years is already under consideration.

Minimum Experience Required

17 years of experience in the public or private sectors in the areas of child rights, human rights, project management, finance, monitoring, evaluation, and research on international covenants and conventions on human rights.

BPS-20 Salary Breakdown (2023-2024 Estimate)

  • Basic Pay: PKR 59,210 – PKR 120,210 (based on the individual’s service length within BPS-20)
  • House Rent Allowance: Typically 45% of the basic pay (for major cities), which would be around PKR 26,644 – PKR 54,094.
  • Adhoc Relief Allowances: Various adhoc relief allowances (granted in recent years) are added as percentages of basic pay. This can cumulatively range from PKR 30,000 to 50,000+.
  • Medical Allowance: usually around PKR 5,000 to 6,000.
